GOLGAN BORDER WORLDS

Anfosso Minor: is a small military base with an important function, serving as the primary location of the Golgan Republiks' survey drones for Dionii space. Hidden in a large asteroid are hundreds of lightspeed-capable automated drones that covertly keep an eye on planets and military movements within the Dionii Empire. Dozens of drones leave the base every day, nervously watching the Dionii military build up just across the border. Anfosso Minor has just 5,000 military personnel assigned to it, and no civilians are present at this covert base.

Anthara System: a star system with no habitable planets, Anthara is a vital part of "the Line" defending the Golgan border worlds from Dionii attack. It is a minor military outpost, however, with mostly automated defenses like combat drones and AI-directed weaponry.

Arrieux: this planet was colonized by a vast generation "sailship" thousands of years ago by the M'Gewn. The great starship was drawn off course by a magnetic storm, only to crashland on a world of endless ocean and raging storms, a world where the only land was a thousand scattered rocky islands, and the winds blow constantly. The ship was not meant to land and thousands in cold-sleep died. The sail--barely heavier than air--floated on top of the sea. The survivors dreamed of repairing the ship but the dream slowly died. Now it is part of "the Line", a set of defensive planets bordering the genocidal Dionii Empire.

Baliga III: this frozen environment is about as hostile to sentient life as can be found on any inhabited world. The local humanoid population is genetically engineered for gigantism and strength, not only to have a fighting chance against the aggressive fauna, but simply to remain standing in the fierce winds that characterize the everyday weather. Part of "the Line", this star system houses Republik fleets and defensive weaponry.

Bantz V: a major military node, this planet is the location of a huge network of Golgan naval bases and repair yards. Guarding the frontier between the Republik and the Dionii border, this star system houses over 15 million personnel and technicians. Orbital forts constructed on large asteroids and small moons (which are plentiful in the Bantz System) deny hostile approach to the planet and the vital orbital construction yards. A major warstation is also being fabricated in orbit of the system's only gas giant. The Bantz System is commanded by Admiral Yogji Yarnee, the senior commander of the Thrantor Raid.

Biswas: a critical shipping and warehousing world located within "the Line", this small planet has no civilians present and just 20,000 logistical personnel. Significant automated weapons and extensive naval patrols protect the world against raids by enemy forces.

Camparros II

Challies

Chandel

Cimino System: A star system with no habitable planets, Cimino is a major major node in "the Line". It is a large Republik naval base positioned near Dionii space. The recent construction of the base was proceeded by years of very very aggressive expansion by the Hive, a genocidal race of bugs. While over 360 million Golgans inhabit the planet itself, the naval base and orbital forts were constructed to stop further Dionii advance into Republik space. Natives of Cimino require life support when adventuring out into the soupy atmosphere but skyskiing is a favorite sport among natives and off-duty Golgan naval personnel.

Dapozzo

Desmet: The senior sector military academy in the Republik is located here, a planet which has large tracts of land set aside for 'war games' and military maneuvers. The children of future world leaders and military commanders are sent to Desmet to learn warfare tactics and principles under the tutelage of the Warlords, an exclusive and powerful circle of successful military analysts, admirals, and generals. All of the three million Golgan inhabitants of Desmet reside in Iburan or Valzor, the only two floating cities on the planet. The system is heavily armed and patrolled as it is part of "the Line".

Ferrand V

Gabanna System: A star system with no habitable planets, it was chosen because of it strategic location. MORE HERE SOON

Gaikwad

Helmanth: a major military node within "the Line", this planet is the site of an enormous Republik naval base. Helmanth is located very near the Dioni border. Most of the twenty million inhabitants of the planet are base personnel and support staff for the large orbiting shipyard and ground terminals while substantial Attack Marine contingents are also stationed on planet. An elite drop commando school and large military training grounds are also located on Helmanth.

Langlois III

Lort: a large military center, Lort is a Republik-wide medical hospital; a hospital to end all hospitals. Hundreds of different environments can be accurately reproduced here, any extreme of heat, cold pressure, gravity, radiation, or atmosphere necessary for the patients and staff it would contain. Such a tremendous and complex structure is far beyond the resources of any one planet, so hundreds of worlds have each fabricated sections of it and transported them to the assembly point in the orbit of Lort, a habitable Golgan planet. The Republik financially supports the Lort System, paying for all basic operating costs and unexpected overhead of the hospital. Lort is heavily armed and patrolled.

Mulderry: Covered with grey-green clouds, the Mahendo'sat colony of Mulderry dwells (for the most part) under the shelter of one huge ceramic dome. For the past 300 years, the colonists have continued the titanic project of converting Mulderrys' ammonia atmosphere to a breathable one of nitrogen and oxygen. The recent sale of atmospheric processors from the Pike System will help convert the atmosphere in a matter of years. Due to the high-tech nature of the Pikean equipment, conversion rates have been quadrupled! Over eighteen million people call Mulderry home and whenever anyone dies, all their organs are harvested and the usable remains of the body are broken down into their component parts and used to fertilize the agro-domes. This star system is part of the Line and is defended by huge numbers of automated weapons and strike fighters.

Ostroff IV: is a drab planet, somewhat smaller than Terra, but much older: her seas have shrunk to lakes, the clouds are few and thin, and vegetation are anemic patches of dingy green against general grayness. The surface resembles the dreariest of Terra's deserts: rock, sand, and thin undernourished vegetation. The mountain ranges have been worn to nubbins, not one with an elevation over a thousand meters on the whole planet. The planet's water vapor and oxygen have slowly leaked into space, until only the hardiest life forms can survive. Ostroff is a world far gone in senility but over 8 million Sennarites call it home. There is also a major Republik naval base is in orbit, along with Orbital Mining Stations (OMS) and Orbital Shacks which constantly produce Ostroff only exports, tritanium and parlyle alloys.

Pazera: An experimental space station was just completed in orbit of Galbas, Pazera's only gas giant. The heavily armed and armored station was constructed to test stationary space control of a gas giant. Armed with deadly projectile guns and hundreds of fighters, the station can deny gas giant refueling to enemy forces. Also, new advanced space submarines (with stealthy capabilities) have also been tested in the vicinity of the gas giant. Part of "the Line".

Planco System: A star system with no habitable planets, it is an Golgan Republik member and a rare quadruple star system. The systems two billion inhabitants live in asteroid homes or large space stations surrounding these stars. Advanced space construction techniques and heavy concentrations of radioactives keep the inhabitants busy in mining ships and orbital construction shacks. During times of hostilities by the Dionii, these space platforms can be armed for combat: there are more than 1,000 asteroid homes. Part of "the Line".

Polanco System:

Prasad Prime: a vital military node within "the Line", this is also a major Republik naval base which was constructed within the last thirty years. A system devoid of any major planets, Prasad Prime has a tremendous 'halo' of asteroids in orbit around the main star, Ember. A large naval buildup is occurring in system to support the Republik in upcoming hostilities with the Dionii. Senior Golgan Admiral Virii Regt'tl commands in Prasad Prime but he is worried about a major Dionii attack into the system and is unwilling to move his forces outsystem. Prasad Prime is also the site of a important biowarfare facility, a nanocenter, and the headquarters of Min'nsk Mineral, the largest mining firm in the Golgan Republik.

Saati Prime: a important world and vital military node within the Line, Saati Prime is one of the largest naval post in the Republik, and is highly prized military post by Golgan naval officers. The large repair yards, naval and munition depots, and the construction facilities constitute nearly 20% of the Republiks' standing military power. Over 800,000 officers and crew are permanently stationed insystem, not including starships under repair or those that are sitting out and undergoing shakedown trials (every four weeks). Recently, however, the senior military official, Fleet Admiral Gojiri Jeun, has been recalled to the home office on Golgan Prime for "consultation". Recent maneuvers by Republik Attack Marines have occurred throught out the system, including a mock "raid" against the ground facilities on Saati Prime itself. Heavy Marine shuttle flights continue as well as extensive fleet maneuvers in the outer regions of the system.

Sadow's World:

Saliba V: When radical technocrats of the outer provinces attempted an overthrow of the ligament matriarchal central government, they were rounded up and incarcerated on Saliba V only moon (in frozen storage). Finally the great ships of the Saliba V took the rebels and their families and dumped them on a useless planet in the outer system called Treason, where they would be exiled until they had ships enough to come out. Ships, they said with a laugh, with silver the strongest workable metal on the planet. Saliba V is also part of "the Line" and the primary base is located on Treasons' Moon.

Santoro: has the unenviable reputation of having high human male to female births. As a result, two men and a single woman can get married, forming a professional, economic, and sexual partnership which is widely recognized throughout the sector. However, natives of Santoro have been treated poorly on some worlds, especially when their 'marriage' is explained. Marriages on Santoro usually involves one larger (and more dominant) human male who protects the woman and the smaller (and less dominant) male. If stared at, which is quite common from non-natives, the more dominate male will take affront, usually with a loud and boisterous, "What are you staring at!!!" Santorans fought incursions of Dionii during recent Border Wars and their population (2 billion) hasn't yet recovered from the massive losses inflicted by the more aggressive Dionii attack forces.

Spektor III:

Tilyard System: A star system with no habitable planets, it is still a strategic military site due to its critical location next to the border of Dionii space. Tilyard is also the largest transshipment point for smugglers in the entire Republik. If a buyer wants drugs, luxury goods, arms (anything that might be illegal, highly taxed, or government controlled) the Tilyard System is the place to find it. The inhabitants will sell the merchandise or deliver it for a fee. This system is far enough from the centers of space travel so that most governments never found it worth their while to clean it out. Besides, a fair number of governments do a little clandestine business within the Tilyard System.

Tiwari System: A star system with 2 habitable planets MORE HERE SOON

Tlusty: a major military node in "the Line", Tlusty is the site of one of the Republiks' largest naval base and shipyard. Ranked tenth in population within Golgan space, the eight billion inhabitants live in pressure domes on Tlustys' surface. The planet is a very pro-Golgan world, with most of it's population being the Golgan race. A large naval build-up is also occurring in this system due to a much-feared potential Dionii attack.

Trichet System: A star system with no habitable planets,

Turro System:
