Class Name: Bo'mosk
Type: destroyer
First commissioned: 2271 AD
Length: 270 meters
Width: 100 meters
Height: 76 meters
Decks: 8
Displacement: 810,000 metric tons
Complement: 225
Speed: warp 5 (cruise), warp 7 (top speed)
Sublight speed: .57

Armament: 1 torpedo launcher (fwd), 2 advanced disruptors (fwd)

Defense: advanced ECM, stealth (cloaking device), 40 antimatter mines, 5th generation shields, heavy armor

Embarked craft: 2 shuttlecraft, 8 fighters (optional)

Advantages: heavy armor, cloaking device

Disadvantages: limited firing arc (forward only), slow sublight speed

NOTES
This brand-new destroyer class starship was developed by the Klingon House of Ta'moth during the latter part of the Resolute War, and proved to be somewhat of a dud. Its major flaws were poorly designed engines which crippled the ships' ability to maintain warp speeds above Warp 7 and sublight speeds barely above .50c. In addition, its fire control system was faulty from the outset and had to be completely gutted and rewired in the first two dozen ships in this class. They also had an very limited firing arc (forward-facing only) which severely crippled its defensive abilities. The Bo'mosk destroyers initially saw combat on the front lines but its poor overall performance allowed Klingon Fleet Admirals to reassign this slower but heavily armed and armored destroyer to patrol duties including convoy escort and rear-area operations.

Class Name: B'reek
Type: bird of prey
First commissioned: 2373 AD
Length: 85 meters
Width: 80 meters
Height: 30 meters
Decks: 3
Displacement: 210,000 metric tons
Complement: 68
Speed: warp 5 (cruise), warp 7 (top speed)
Sublight speed: .65

Armament: two double-barreled disruptors, single torpedo launcher (fwd)

Defense: shields, cloaking device

Embarked craft: 2 shuttles

Advantages: advanced weapons, quick build time

Disadvantages: poor armor, limited speeds (warp/sublight)

NOTES
As the all-out war between the Romulans and the Federation and their Klingon allies entered its 5 year (2373 AD), a whole new slew of naval warships began coming off the quays. This included the moderately successful B'reeke-class bird of prey. Built by House D'Gor, a faction who was not used to building warships, this class had both strengths (advanced weapons) and weaknesses (poor armor). Several hundred were built during and after the war ended and they were used extensively during the Dominion War. Overall losses in this class of warship were almost 70%, making them unpopular with their crews.

Class Name: Da'goth
Type: medium cruiser
First commissioned: fall 2369 AD
Length: 400 meters
Width: 270 meters
Height: 80 meters
Decks: 15
Displacement: 1.8 million metric tons
Complement: 288
Speed: warp 7 (cruise), warp 9.5 (top speed)
Sublight speed: .88

Armament: two forward-mounted displacement beam weapons, four torpedo launchers (2 fwd and aft), one primary spinal mount disruptor

Defense: fifth generation shields, phased cloaking device

Embarked craft: 2 shuttles, 40 fighter craft

Advantages: teleporting mines, 40 fighter craft

Disadvantages: poor armor, lengthy firing time for primary weapon

NOTES
This warship design was begun over a decade ago by House R'Goth but it never got off the drawing boards until the start of the Resolute War. Once it reached the battlefield, it proved itself to be a very capable platform. Its large top-mounted hanger bay could hold up to four dozen small craft and its offensive ordinance allowed it to go toe-to-toe with the much larger Romulan D'Deridex-class warships. Its primary weapon, a new spinal mount disruptor, had a slow firing time but its four torpedo launchers helped make up for the delay. It was a successful design and over 300 were built during the war, with a loss ratio of just 37%, mostly due to the advanced phased cloaking device: this allowed the ship to pass through solid objects and ignore most weapons fire from the enemy.

Class Name: D'Korin
Type: battleship
First commissioned: 2373 AD
Length: 800 meters
Width: 250 meters
Height: 110 meters
Decks: 40
Displacement: 3.5 million metric tons
Complement: 640
Speed: warp 8 (cruise), warp 9.9999 (top speed)
Sublight speed: .88c

Armament: central spinal mount (disruptor), six resonance disruptors, four polarized disruptors, six torpedo launchers

Defense: ablative armor, 6th generation shield grid, antimatter torpedoes

Embarked craft: 12 fighters (optional)

Advantages: transwarp, advanced shields, heavy armor, cloaking device

Disadvantages: long construction time, specialized tri-lithium crystals needed for transwarp drive

NOTES
A advanced battleship first built during the Resolute War (by the House of Torm), this battle-proven warship was later one of the first in the Klingon Imperial Navy to receive transwarp drive. More than 200 of these vessels were constructed between the end of the Resolute War and the end of the Dominion War. They were an extremely successful design, being able to take enormous amounts of battle damage and still remain operational. The D'Korin-class warships became the leading Klingon battleship in the 24th and 25th centuries.

Class Name: J'task
Type: warbird
First commissioned: fall 2369 AD
Length: 120 meters
Width: 100 meters
Height: 50 meters
Decks: 8
Displacement: 315,000 metric tons
Complement: 120
Speed: warp 5 (cruise), warp 7 (top speed)
Sublight speed: .65

Armament: two phase disruptors, two torpedo launchers (fwd and aft)

Defense: good armor, separation boom, advanced sensors

Embarked craft: 2 shuttles

Advantages: fourth generation shield bubble, advanced cloaking device

Disadvantages: poor speeds

NOTES
The Klingon Empire entered the Resolute War with the entire warbird-class completely outdated. In the past, the lightly armed but very fast warbird concept had worked exceptionally well for the Empire, with over a thousand ships built in the last 200 years. These warbirds primarily filled the scout and first strike roll within the Klingon Navy, but they were occasionally used as a covert transport platform. By the 2300s this entire previous classes of ships, from birds-of-prey to the more heavily mass-produced heavy frigate-class, were just too old to face any serious Threat power on the field of battle. Luckily, an completely new line of warship was in the planning stages, and the J'task were eventually fielded in large numbers during the Resolute War, where they performed above all expectations. Klingon Naval planners foresee their use into the future as a result of their successful outcome.

Class Name: Kahless
Type: armored destroyer
First commissioned: 2373 AD
Length: 160 meters
Width: 80 meters
Height: 40 meters
Decks: 8
Displacement: 450,000 tons
Complement: 180
Speed: warp 5 (cruise), warp 7 (top speed)
Sublight speed: .65

Armament: two double-barreled disruptors, single torpedo launcher (fwd)

Defense: heavy armor, shields, cloaking device

Embarked craft: 2 shuttles

Advantages: heavy armor, redundant critical systems

Disadvantages: slow speed, long construction times

NOTES
After more than 3 years of fighting the Imperial Klingon Navy has learned alot from combat with the Romulans. One of the key points was the enemy forces liked to target the warp drive on Klingon warships, making sure they couldn't escape if the battle turned against them. Nearly 35% of all ship losses by the Klingon Navy was because of the inability to retreat due to warp drive damage. With that in mind, the House of Korath began fielding new heavily armored destroyer-class military vessels late in the war, and they were a fantastic success. With nearly triple the armor of a regular warship, and nearly ten times worth protecting the ships' warp nacelles, the Kahless-class became very successful on the battlefield....and wildly popular with their crews. The vessel also had been added to in other areas: it had new triple redundancy in life support, a secondary manual flight control line was also laid in to avert battle damage, and a much expanded medical bay was built into it as a final thought. Overall the design was a huge improvement over its predecessor ships and many ships in the class ended the war with much glory.

Class Name: Kal'tesh
Type: battleship
First commissioned: 2371 AD
Length: 650 meters
Width: 300 meters
Height: 90 meters
Decks: 12
Displacement: 2.5 million tons
Complement: 580
Speed: warp 6 (cruise), warp 9 (top speed)
Sublight speed: .60c
Armament: spinal wave disruptor, antimatter torpedoes, phase disruptors
Defense: regenerative triple shielding, neutronium armor, ablative armor
Embarked craft: 8 shuttles

Advantages: heavily armored, new advanced weapons, 6th generation cloaking device, regenerative triple shielding

Disadvantages: slow sublight speed, long construction time, difficult armor creation (neutronium)

NOTES
These brand-new Kal'tesh-class battleships were designed specifically to combat the Romulan D'Deridex II-class warships. Built around a massive armored core and central spinal mount, the Kal'tesh-class were made for heavy combat. The new battleship included advanced regenerative triple shielding, partial neutronium armor coverage, and a massive Spinal Wave Disruptor that could target a broad region of space, hitting numerous enemy warships all at once. With their heavy armor and shields, these monstrous warships were immune to much return enemy fire. More than 400 were built during the Resolute and Dominion Wars.

Class Name: Kal'Tosk
Type: battleship
First commissioned: 2370 AD
Length: 700 meters
Width: 600 meters
Height: 120 meters
Decks: 20
Displacement: 3.8 million metric tons
Complement: 845
Speed: warp 6 (cruise), warp 8 (top speed)
Sublight speed: .55

Armament: spinal wave disruptor, six resonance disruptors and four polarized disruptors

Defense: neutronium armor, regenerative triple shielding

Embarked craft: 6 smallcraft or 6 fighters

Advantages: heavy armor and shield grid, advanced weapons

Disadvantages: slow speeds (sublight and warp)

NOTES
The Kal'tosk-class had been on the drawing boards for nearly a decade but unfortunately finding funding to create such a large and risky design had been nearly impossible. With three new experimental beam weapons (none of which were battlefield tested), this new heavy warship class was an uncertain risk that the Klingon Admiralty refused to finance. However two dozen were quickly laid down at the beginning of the Resolute War, and these advanced battleships were eventually fielded against the Romulans in the second year of the conflict. Ultimately the Kal'tosk design immediately proved to be a lethal warship against every battlefield target, with its new polarized disruptors and resonance disruptors proving to be extremely effective against enemy warships. The central spinal "piercing disruptor" was especially devastating, expertly targeting and destroying static bases on asteroids, moons, and planets.

NOTES
First constructed in 2371, more than 400 of these vessels were built to supply the Klingon Fleet in its war against the Romulan Star Empire. Food, fuel, weapons, and spare parts were shipped in huge amounts in order to keep the warfront moving forward. Initially the Klingon fleet was sorely lacking in support vessels at the outbreak of the war and several new designs were quickly brought forth for potential construction, but in the end the Kerrn'n-class fast cargo transport was decided on. This speedy vessel was built in record time, and by the hundreds in at least two dozen different shipyards across the Klingon Empire. They were only lightly armed but had the latest 5th generation cloaking device on board, as well as powerful new shielding. Cutting-edge warp and impulse engines often made this vessel to problematic for Romulan warships to target, and during the Resolute War only 11 were ever destroyed by the enemy.

Class Name: Mal'koth
Type: armored cruiser
First commissioned: 2369 AD
Length: 410 meters
Width: 110 meters
Height: 380 meters
Decks: 28
Displacement: 900,000 metric tons
Complement: 314
Speed: warp 7
Sublight speed: .68

Armament: 4 rotating disruptors (forward facing) and one rapid-fire torpedo launcher (fwd)

Defense: heavily armored, advanced regenerative shield grid (experimental)

Embarked craft: four small craft or two fighters

Advantages: heavy armor

Disadvantages: heavily armored, poor design, slow, old-style cloaking device (not stable)

NOTES
Although this Klingon warship design had been on the drawing boards for nearly 20 years, construction had never begun since it was considered poorly built but the war pushed nearly every shipyard in the Klingon Empire to produce something, and thus the Mal'koth-class armored cruisers were manufactured. The first prototype came off the line in 2369 and the vessel had over 300 crew. It also had a massive armored hull and a unique rotating disruptor system, as well as a single forward facing energy torpedo launcher. Unfortunately the entire class was flawed from the start; the old-style cloaking device used on these vessels wasn't stable, nor could it maintain pace with the rest of the Klingon fleet: its warp and impulse engines were underpowered and overbuilt. Eventually these warships were used as devastating battering rams against impregnable Romulan positions; nothing could withstand the impact of a ship this massive. In the end the entire class was scrapped in the latter part of the Romulan War and the shipyards that produced them (the Karnak family yards) was blackballed from ever producing another warship for the Klingon Navy.

NOTES
This heavy cruiser class warship was on the design boards for nearly 10 years before the Klingon High Command finally approved the design, which began production in 2370 AD in a half dozen military shipyards deep within the Klingon Empire. The warship proved extremely effective on the battlefield, using its primary weapon (the advanced disruptor spinal cannon) to good effect. It also had four forward-facing disruptors and two aft torpedo launchers as well as a new 5th generation cloaking device and heavy armor, making it a very potent warship against all enemy combatants. The Mar'tok-class heavy cruisers were continually produced by the Klingon Empire well into the Dominion War, with a total number of 745 being built.

Speed: warp 9+
Sublight speed: .88c

Armament: double disruptors, torpedo launchers (2 forward, 1 aft)

Defense: advanced armor, 5th generation shields

Embarked craft: 4 shuttles

Advantages: armored forward section (ram), advanced cloaking device, double disruptor capability

Disadvantages: slow production rate, poor power distribution network

NOTES
While lagging on the drawing boards for years, the Klingon High Command could never come up with a finalized design and the first initial six space frames were stored in orbit in the Noarl System. The outbreak of war between the Romulans against the Klingons and Federation forced local commanders in Noarl to prioritize the Or'Loths and send them into battle as quickly as possible. Providentially, this warship design was extremely effective in combat, using the Klingon's newest cloaking technology to its advantage, as well as its new high powered "double-disruptors". In the first 3 months of combat in Romulan space, the Or'Loth-class battlecruisers proved their value on the battlefield and eight dozen more were ordered for the Klingon Navy in late 2368. These battlecruisers' were designed and weaponized by the House of Kozek, a minor but growing house within the Empire.

Defense: advanced "masking field", armored warp nacelles, 5th generation shield bubble

Embarked craft: 2 shuttlecraft

Advantages: transwarp speed

Disadvantages: experimental design

NOTES
This experimental class of warship was the final culmination of the failure of the Klingon Empire to perfect the transwarp drive, and the conclusion of a successful spying program against the United Federation of Planets. The Talon'n-class experimental cruiser is the end result, and towards the end of the Resolute War it was first field tested, deep within the Klingon Empire. This warship was eventually used in the scout role and only two dozen were ever made; they were just too expensive and too limited to justify widespread construction.

NOTES
First constructed in 2372 AD by the House of Gorath, this heavily armored scout ship was badly needed by the Klingon Fleet as it continued to advance deep into Romulan space. Previous classes of scout ships (mainly birds of prey) had proved too weak on the battlefield; from its firepower to the armor plating, lighter scout ships were often outgunned by enemy warships and losses in those classes reached over 70% by the middle of the war. When first built, the Yorgash-class had its detractors, including Chancellor Gowron but General Mar'tok backed the designed and more than 100 were laid down during the Resolute War. The armor protection proved extremely effective and the scouts' three-dimensional weaponry often played a crucial role in its survival on the battlefield. It was also the smallest warship to mount the advanced energy torpedo launcher, a weapon system developed by the Klingon Empire just a decade ago. After the war the entire class' performance was subject to an extensive military evaluation, and overall this Klingon vessel was judged a resounding success.

Defense: quantum armor, advanced cloaking device

Embarked craft: 2 shuttles

Advantages: Rapid production of class, heavily armored, massive firepower

Disadvantages: Expensive to produce

NOTES
This class of warship was designed and crash developed by the Romulan Star Empire in the latter stages of the war with the Federation and the Klingon Empire, trying to fill a gap in the defenses of its fleets. Older versions of this class just did not have the speed, armor, or weaponry to hold off enemy capital ships but the Regeth'h vessels did. Adding quantum armor, new burst disruptors, and an advanced warp drive, these vessels were small and rapidly built, with over 100 being fielded before the wars' end. The armor was a breakthrough for the Romulans and definitely bulked up the small starship, making it almost impossible to destroy the ship on the first hit. Being able to sustain enemy capital ship fire was a _____ of the Regeth'h-class warships. Coupled with brand-new beam weapons (burst disruptors) and a next-generation cloaking device, these ships specialized in sneak attacks against important Federation and Klingon targets. Their high warp speed also made them able to outrun most other vessels. In the end this class proved exceptionally good on the front lines and they were seen often after the war, usually in privateer hands.
