HANGAR 51
This top secret facility is located outside the ruins of Baton Rouge and focuses on the design, construction, and testing of cutting-edge military aircraft for the Coalition States (CS). The Hangar 51 team comprises a dozen members and especially its innovative aviation designer, Denny Duckworth. With an advanced degree in experimental aerospace and using his highly creative mind, Duckworth has fielded more than a dozen unique military aircraft that the Coalition States is thinking of putting into mass production. Below are a few of these designs:






 

OSPREY-CLASS AMPHIBIOUS PLANE
This medium-ranged amphibious plane has a unique wing-in-ground effect (WIG) ability that lets it fly just a few feet above the surface of water, making it nearly impervious to detection by radar. Only aircraft with look-down shoot-down radar can see this plane while it is flying low across oceans or lakes. The Osprey-class is moderately armed and armored and requires a minimum of 3 personnel to operate effectively. Unfortunately the first plane was involved in a fatal crash which burned the craft, killing the test pilot. The entire project was put on a hold while a safety review was conducted, but eventually a second craft was built and the design proven. The Coalition States is said to be moving forward with limited production of this plane.
