NEW GALAXY-CLASS CONSTRUCTION
Due to the tragic loss of the USS Yamato in the Neutral Zone, the USS Auriga at Wolf 359, and the USS Odyssey in Dominion space, Starfleet Command has activated it's option of procuring six additional Galaxy-class starships. These six were initially taken to the framework stage only during the production of the first six starships. Their space-frames were broken down into manageable segments and dispersed by cargo carriers to remote sites within the Federation as a security measure. Now, these six space-frames have been assembled at Utopia Planitia (Mars) and the planet Catulla for full construction. Production rates are one unit per yard every ten months. The first unit, the USS Yamato II (at Utopia Planitia), is projected to be completed two months from now, with the USS Auriga II (at Catulla) six months later.

Mark II: Pre-Dominion War production: new USS Auriga II and USS Yamato II.
Mark III: Converging Antimatter Beam, a full 360 degree weapons system(including torpedo launchers, like the USS Voyager mounted Borg torp launchers) and ablative armor transporters. A 100% combat warship.
